Book’d Co-Founder Recognized as One of Ocala’s Top Young Professionals

We’re excited to share that Book’d’s co-founder, Andrew Grunther, was selected as one of Ocala Magazine’s “40 Under 40” honorees in the July 2023 issue. This annual list recognizes local leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who are making a positive impact on our community, and we’re proud to see Andrew among them.

For the feature, Andrew spoke about growing Book’d from a 300 square foot guest cottage into a full-service short-term rental management company now overseeing dozens of properties across Marion County. His favorite part of the job? Meeting people from all over the world and helping them discover what makes Ocala special.

The magazine published a few highlights from his interview, but here are a few gems that didn’t make it to print:

When asked about his philosophy of life in one word: Butter

His greatest strength: Multitasking

A guilty pleasure: A venti decaf iced americano with cream, three pumps of hazelnut, shaken not stirred

Top bucket list items include trying fugu, hopping on a flight with no destination in mind, and kicking a soccer ball around the Great Pyramid

Andrew also gave a special shoutout to the Historic Ocala Preservation Society, an organization close to his heart for its work preserving Ocala’s rich architectural and cultural history.

We couldn’t be prouder of Andrew and this well-deserved recognition. Watching Book’d grow from an idea in a tiny guest cottage into what it is today has been an incredible ride, and it’s only just beginning. Andrew’s passion for people, Ocala, and doing things a little differently is what makes Book’d feel more like a community than a company. We’re so thankful to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
