A Night to Remember: Book’d’s Office Warming Party Featured in Ocala Magazine

Updated: Jul 25

On a warm Saturday evening in early September, something special was happening in Ocala’s Historic District. Just off the square, friends, clients, community leaders, and neighbors gathered to celebrate a milestone years in the making: Book’d’s official move into our downtown office.

Held on September 9th, the Book’d Office Warming Party brought together more than just a crowd. It brought together the very heart of the Ocala community. From nonprofit directors and local business owners to city officials and longtime clients, the turnout exceeded anything we could have imagined. The energy that night was buzzing, and we are honored that the event was featured in the October 2023 issue of Ocala Magazine.

Why the Party Meant So Much

Book’d has always been a labor of love. What began in a single 300 square foot guest cottage has grown into a full-service short-term rental management company serving dozens of homes across Marion County. Opening our first physical office downtown felt like the natural next step, but it was more than just a new location. It was a home base, a symbol of our growth, and a chance to put down even deeper roots in a city that has supported us since day one.

So we did what we do best. We hosted. And not just any gathering. This was a party with purpose.

An Evening of Good Food, Great People, and BIG Ideas

The event kicked off in the early evening and lasted late into the night, with guests enjoying a beautifully curated spread from Grated & Cured, a local favorite known for their incredible charcuterie, small bites, and beautiful presentation. Paired with an open bar and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our newly designed office space, the night felt part celebration, part reunion, and part open house.

Attendees were encouraged to explore the new home of Book’d, a historic house turned office space, complete with original architectural details, high ceilings, and a front porch perfect for sipping cocktails and catching up with friends. But this was not just any office. Designed to feel like a home, the space invited guests to relax in the living room, enjoy the overflowing charcuterie spread in what was once the formal dining room (now our conference room), and peek behind the scenes at how Book’d keeps everything organized across dozens of properties throughout Ocala.

Linen storage, guest toiletries, maintenance tools, cleaning supplies; every room had a purpose and offered a glimpse into the operations that power our day-to-day work. It was important to us that guests could see not just where we work, but how we work.

It was not just about the food and drinks. It was about the conversations happening in every corner of the house. Nonprofit leaders connected with city officials, local business owners shared ideas with new clients, and longtime friends toasted to new beginnings. It reminded us why we do what we do. Hospitality is not just for guests. It starts right here at home.

A Chance to Share Our Vision

Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to talk with so many of you about what Book’d is building here in Ocala. Whether it was explaining how we support local homeowners through Airbnb management, sharing plans to expand our design and home setup services, or simply answering questions about short-term rentals in the Historic District, we were overwhelmed by the interest and support.

It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of running a business. But this night gave us a rare chance to step back, open our doors, and welcome the community into the bigger picture. It reminded us that Book’d is not just about properties. It is about people.

Thank You, Ocala

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Your support, whether you have been with us from the beginning or just learned our name, means the world. Special thanks to Ocala Magazine for shining a light on the event and helping us share this moment with even more people across the city.

If you missed the party, do not worry. Our door is always open. Stop by the office. Say hello. Let’s grab a coffee or talk shop. At Book’d, the next chapter is just getting started, and we would love for you to be a part of it.
